On Saturday, August 7th, two of Southern Illinois' most prolific fighters will meet at Nemesis Fighting Alliance 6 in Arnold, MO. Du Quoin, Illinois’ Garrett Gross will face off with Bunker Hill’s Aaron Highfill in a battle of two scrappy fighters who love to mix it up and have treated St. Louis MMA fans to some of the most electric performances in the last decade.
After taking some time off to start a family, Highfill has only fought once since 2017 when he dominated Dominic Garcia by second round TKO. The 30-year old put together a near perfect 13-1 amateur record decorated by exciting finishes and gutsy performances throughout. As a pro, Highfhill’s only losses have come at the hands of some of the best Midwest has to offer facing Bellator and UFC vets Jake Lindsey and Zak Bucia in high-profile, local title bouts.
Highfill’s opponent on the 7th needs no introduction to St. Louis fight fans. After a crazy amateur run where Gross and training partner Kyle Walker dominated the martial arts scene in Illinois, Gross turned pro and quickly made an impact. Gross has battled a who’s who of some of St. Louis’ best light and welterweight fighters winning most of those bouts. He combines a fierce intensity with laser accurate punches for a deadly combination.
Tickets for NFA 6 are on sale NOW, and the event will be broadcasted live on Pay Per View. You won’t want to miss this action packed card.
